Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Since Debian doesn't see updates inbetween releases unless there's some urgent reason for them, the software in the distribution's repositories ages. An approch is the Ubuntu ppa repository.
install the script described here:

as repository use this, follow the instructions from there:
http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/install-ubuntu-repo
than sudo apt-get update upgade and you have all new packages installed!
