Transmission vs BtSync

Hi,

I've just installed BitTorrentSync on my DNS-320 and configured it. Works correctly. My next step was to install Transmission 2.83. Installation went O.K. However when I want to run it it always end up with:

./transmission.sh -f start
Can't lock pid file. It seems BitTorrent Sync is already running with pid 22077

I stopped "btsync" (by typing ./btsync stop) but still can not start transmission (still the same message).

It seems like I do some stupid mistake. I would like to run both programs simultaneously. Could anyone help me?

Thank you in advance

Re: Transmission vs BtSync

My first guess is that btsync and transmission try to use the same pid file. (/var/run/xxx.pid).  Have a look if you can change it for one of the two.

I stopped "btsync" (by typing ./btsync stop)

btsync is a binary here? Are you sure 'btsync stop' is supposed to stop it? Try killall btsync

Re: Transmission vs BtSync

Thanks for quick reply.

Sorry for misleading info. When I stopped btsync I used command "./btsync.sh stop" - so no binary here.
My problem seems to be solved - the only thing needed was full reboot. Why didn't I come to this "obvious" solution sooner?
All programs are running smoothly now.

Please give a link to the manual how to do this? Or maybe explain by your self? I have DNS-325.

Thank you in advance.
