Regarding the new Severe SMB bug, it's not 100% clear to a non-expert whether the most common use (Windows client) is affected in any way? Is SMB SAMBA? I guess many people don't know/care about all the technicals but would like to make sure whether this affects them or not. Thanks. A bit of clarification will be better.

[this comment added 3/9/08 - Mig] Yes, this SMB mount known issues needs clarification: I suggest change the title to Shares seem to lock from smb mounts from linux clients ,if that is what the wiki editor is reporting.
