The elimination half-life increases two to three fold or greater when creatinine clearance is less than 40 mL/min/1. Inpatients: initially 100mg/day, may increase to 200mg/day as needed; max 300mg/day. Neisseria gonorrhoeae. In a clinical trial of GLUMETZA combined with a sulfonylurea, the most common side effects included hypoglycemia, diarrhea, and nausea.
