Long-term use may, as with other antibiotics, result in colonization with increased numbers of non-susceptible bacteria and fungi. Kidney disease: Kidney disease or reduced kidney function may cause this medication to build up in the body, causing side effects. Salmeterol may increase the QTc-prolonging activities of Flecainide. The metabolism of Prochlorperazine can be decreased when combined with Verapamil. Venlafaxine may increase the QTc-prolonging activities of Gadobenic acid.
