DNS-323 just wont go into standby

I have DNS-323 with 1.02 firmware. I set the "go to standby mode after 30 minutes" and from the beginning it always normally went into standby, but now it doesn't ever go to standby mode anymore, even if all computers in the network are off including the router. Anyone knows the solution?

Thanx

Did you ever use a printer with the DNS-323?  There is a known cause for this.

Read the wiki - it's documented there - search the forum - you're not the only person to have this problem, and not the only person to ask this question withing the last two days.

Re: DNS-323 just wont go into standby

I tried upgrading firmware and everything and nothing helped. And the link leper posted has nothing about standby problems...

Is my last resort resetting settings? Will that affect files on hard-drive?

So - let me ask this question - one more time - have you ever used a printer with the DNS-323?

If your answer to that question is YES - then click on the link that leper posted and start READING - here's a hint, it's the only issue on the page that deals with printing.

Of course, it's entirely possible that none of us has seen your particular problem before - so - feel free to push the reset button, it will reset the configuration settings but should not affect the data on the disks.

Yes - I did say should not - as in it's not supposed to and didn't when I pushed it on mine, but just as your problem may be different, your experience may be different - but then you do have it backed up, don't you?

Thank you. It did solve the problem but now print server doesn't work.
