My dns wouldn't see my volume1 (two drives as raid 1) anymore. It kept wanting to format them after a power failure and reboot. I pulled one of the drives and put it into a box running Ubuntu. In Gparted the drive shows up as a linux-swap and the ext2 partition. I tried mounting them but my linux is not that good and I get 'unknown filesystem type 'linux_raid_member' for the ext partition and 'looks like swapspace not mounted' for the linux-swap partition. I was using 'mount /dev/sdb2 /media/drive' to mount them. Any advice or help on mounting the drive would be appreciated. I need to get to the data asap.

Anybody? I'm desperate. I loaded one of the drives into the Ubuntu box. Using the gparted partition editor, I can see the drive and both partitions. It won't let me mount them though.

Tried that. Now my data disappeared. It shows the drive as only having 7gb used instead of 130 gb like it should. I really need to mount this drive. Any other solutions. Thanks

How about installing http://www.fs-driver.org/ and using Windows to mount it if that is easier?
