I found that OpenOCD JTAG tools http://openocd.berlios.de/web/ support the arm926ejs processor
(The Marvell 88f5181 has the arm926ejs core) So hopefully IF the 10 pin header is the Jtag interface we may be able to update firmware like the boot loader etc.
I will post more information when I figure out what the connection are.
