Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Need help regaining access

I tried to start over with fun_plug and thought it would have been a good idea to just delete the /ffp directory, fun_plug and ffp.log files not realizing that root owns some of the files. sad

There's no telnet (disabled after I enabled SSH). SSH doesn't work because I can't remember the password.

I placed the fun_plug and fun_plug.tgz in the Volume_1 directory to try to invoke a reinstall. No luck.

The HD is at 90% use and I don't have any other storage to transfer the data to.

Is there a way to reinstall fun_plug without wiping the HD?

Thanks for reading!

What are the contents of the ffp.log?

You are really taking a big chance of losing your data, because you don't have a backup.

ffp.log doesn't get created. It's like the fun_plug file fails to execute?

Thanks for the reminder. I've copied the more important info to my computer as a temp backup and decided that if i lose the DNS' data, I'll just start over, I'd just rather not have to.

Re: Need help regaining access

Read in another thread that Opera may have file saving issues. Tried with IE & Firefox. No luck.

Anyone have an idea why the .tgz isn't being extracted?

Re: Need help regaining access

do you have two drives in the 323?  If so drop the two files in the root of Volume_2 and reboot, see if that helps.  Are you sure that "fun_plug" is there and not fun_plug.txt for fun_plug.sh or any other variant?

Re: Need help regaining access

Hey! That was it! Thanks so much!

Any idea why that happens? I had fun_plug installed on the first drive (right side). I can't remember clearly, but I think I put in another drive after that (left).

Guess it would have helped to say that I am running 1.04 FW (if that matters).

Re: Need help regaining access

If memory serves it is in the how to, I think (again from memory) that if you put a single drive into LHS slot it will be called Vol1, but actually the LHS slot is for Drive 1 and RHS is for Drive 0.  So if you install them at the same time and have them configured as single drive you get this: LHS = Drive 1 Vol2 & RHS = Drive 0 Vol1.  If you originally had just one drive and then put another drive in the other slot later it confuses things.
