I just saw that the alt-f firmware has support to use debian packages. You could try that route.

sabnzbdplus exists as a debian package. If you can get debian to work via alt-f, then I can guide you to howto do the rest. Debian is very standard and easy to use once you get into it.

bjby, I didn't have to enable any additional repos on my debian squeeze to be able to install sabnzbdplus...

well here is what i did to get Sabnzb to install...

I used Alt-F 0.1b7 (flashed) as firmware - I imagine reloaded will be fine.

1) Install the debian squeeze (1.04) package provided by dhub from his repo (http://ipkg.dhub.me/unstable).

2) Install python + other dependancies needed.

    apt-get -y install unzip par2 python-dev python-cheetah python-cherrypy unrar-free

3) Install sabnzb
   
a) Download the latest version ofSABnzbd SOURCE.   
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/sabnzbd … z/download to Volume_1/Linux/opt/

b) Unzip SABNZBD.
    cd /opt
    tar -zxvf /opt/SABnzbd-0.5.6-src.tar.gz

c)  Start the SABnzb in the foreground with the following command:
    /opt/SabNZBd/python SABnzbd.py
    When it stops listing text of what it just did, Stop the process with CTRL+C.
    This creates sabnzbd.ini

d) Edit /root/.sabnzbd/sabnzbd.ini
    and change
    host=localhost
    to
    host=<ip address of nas>

e) Start the process and run it.
    python  /opt/SABnzbd/SABnzbd.py -d -f ~/.sabnzbd/sabnzbd.ini

f) In web browser go to <the ip of your nas>:8080/sabnzbd

This got me to the standard sabnzbd wizard, i did'nt fully test it because I had more to install - but it was running fine
I then moved on to Couchpotato, and SickBeard Which also installed and ran fine.

The problem I am having is getting the 323 to auto-boot  dhub's debian squeeze, I've ticked the auto-boot option in services page of Alt-f (and saved), but it simply won't work. I've tried it on 2 different 323's... flashed and reloaded.
Sorry to hijack a thread - but any help would be appreciated . Can anyone get it to auto-boot, or does it just not work?

I live in an area with frequent power cuts, and need everything to load automatically, so my wife can just switch the 323 back on when neccesary...

Please correct me if I have'nt understood this correctly...

1) The debian chroot process won't start. (despite auto-boot being ticked in the web interface), unless a package that uses it,
(like your sabnzbd) is installed and started in the web interface.
(My debian chroot does not run automatically on boot or reboot - I have to manually start it in the web interface every time.)

2) Using your start/stop scripts - I should be able to make my own, (for my manually installed apps), and these in turn would autostart the debian chroot on boot,  and the relevant app should start.

Also I think some of the packages are not in repo, so I can't grab them to look at the start/stop scripts

When I check the repo manually I can't find the package,

Do you mind reposting it (or just the files to help with the start/stop problem).
