Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hi Guys,
Was hoping you could help me solve the issue in the subject. I've had the DNS323 for a while without any issues and recently got a PS3 with the hope of streaming media from the NAS.
After quite a bit of research from here and the web I found out the best way to do it was via Twonky. Below are the steps I followed but now I cannot get the DNS to auto shut down after a peroid of inactivity.
Steps followed:
I updated the firmware of the DNS323 to the 1.04 version from this forum.
I download the funplug file from these forums.......opened with RAR and the pasted the contents accross to the NAS root file (Volume 1)
I then downloaded Twonky specified for the DNS323 version 4.4.3.1 - extracted the RAR file and ran the setup application - this was straightforward - provided the ip address of the NAS and everything went smoothly.
I was then able to stream all media on my PS3 from the NAS..........but now the NAS will not auto shut down when idle.
Is there something i've missed ? I've gone through the Twonkey web interface and changed settings to what I required and anything which may effect the above such as scanning every 24 hours etc........but the NAS does not shut down ?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by "the NAS does not shut down"; do you mean the hard disks don't spin down?
I have a similar setup to you: firmware 1.04, fun_plug 0.4_test, twonky 4.4.3.1 and my hard drives both spin down and the display brightness dims a little.
Some fun_plug setups can stop the drives spinning down by writing to a log file periodically - could that be the problem?
