Automatically clearing print queue?

Hey guys, I just purchased my DNS-323 yesterday (Upgraded to 1.04).  I am using the built in print server with my Samsung SCX-4100 multi-funtion printer.  I have read that if there is anything left in the print queue that it prevents the NAS from going into powersaving mode and the HDDs spin every 10 minutes.

- Is it possible to write a windows script which clears the queue every time you start XP?
- The 1.04 firmware is new.  Will there be any problems with me installing the existing versions of fun_plug on this site?

Thanks for your time guys

Re: Automatically clearing print queue?

I have a recollection that a script of that sort has already been discussed in the forum and there should be no problems using fun_plug with the new firmware - at least, my fun_plug (which is not the same as fonz fun_plug) works just fine.

Re: Automatically clearing print queue?

It is also possible 1.04 has fixed the print queue problem, have not tested mine yet, perhaps others have?

Re: Automatically clearing print queue?

1.04 has added a button to the web interface to clear the print queue - looks like a quick and dirty hack in my opinion.

Interestingly enough the button says "Clear print queues" - can I have more than one printer attached to the DNS-323?
