Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Before I pull my hair out would someone please help me connect to the DNS-323!
I have a static IP set, upgraded to 1.04 and am connected through a d-link gigabit switch.
I can share files between my Mac and PC and between my PC and the DNS-323 but NOT between the Mac and the DNS-323.
I can't even connect to it with Finder.
I have smb sharing enabled and am connecting using 192.168.0.150/Volume_1 with no luck - just error code 36.
Please helppppppppp!!!!!!!!!

When you enter the DNS-323 address with the Connect menu, you should use smb://ipaddress and not just the ip address.
Then, MacOS will ask you to log in and offer you to keep that info in the keychain.

Thanks for the idea, I have tried both smb://192.168.0.150 and smb://192.168.0.150/Volume_1 with no luck.

And the IP address is the 323's IP address?
Strange.
Here, I have a D Link DI-524 router with DHCP server enabled, a 1 gigabit switch on it and both my DNS-323 and my iMac are on the gigabit switch. I've no problem connecting to DNS-323. I don't see any particular setup that should be enabled...
If you try with the terminal ?
mkdir /Users/«username»/desktop/volume_1
mount_smbfs //login:password@192.168.0.xxx/volume_1 /Users/«username»/desktop/volume_1

I have no issues using it under Mac either. Only suggestion I can provide is to check whether DHCP is enabled on both DNS-323 and the router. Maybe there is an IP address clash. In my case, my router provides the IP and DNS-323 DHCP service is disabled.
Sorry, not much to offer. Good luck.
