Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hi, all
I just updated my DNS-323 from 1.03 to 1.04 and have been unable to use my DNS-323 since. The firmware update seems to have been applied successfully -- the system rebooted fine and presented me with the login page. However, I'm unable to login with any credentials, as immediately after logging in I get a "page not found" error. I'm unable to reconnect to the UI for at least a few minutes.
My initial hunches are that the web server was crashing, and true enough, it seems it is. Luckily, I had telnet enabled for this so I was able to poke around a bit. Some problems I've noticed:
1. Requests for /goform/formLogin cause the web server to immediately crash (whether using HTTP or HTTPS)
2. The web server seems to be /web/webs, and when running this, I get:
Quota Stop Set Daylight :/usr/sbin/daylight f & country = 66 Daylight mode : NONE
After making a request to /goform/formLogin, the app exits with Segmentation Fault.
3. smbcom seems to crash with a segmentation fault, complaining it can't find /dev/sda4, thereby generating an empty /etc/samba/smb.conf, which means the volumes are totally inaccessible.
I'm able to "recover" my files by generating smb.conf from smb.defaults and adding an appropriate share, but without telnet, I'm practically SOL.
I can't revert the firmware, or reapply the firmware because I can't login to the web UI. I could try running it from the shell but would like to know if anyone's run into this before. Rebooting, or doing a hardware reset does nothing.
Thanks for any help in advance!

Did you already tried making an hard reset to the DNS-323? After upgrading I had the same slowness problems in Windows and making an hard reset solved them...

I'll try doing a hard reset with the drives pulled out. My only worry is that the only way I can "recover" from this is the firmware running the telnet fun_plug, and without the drives that's gonna be unavailable. I'll give it a shot tonight. Thanks.
Update:
No such luck. I tried doing a hard reset with and without the drives. Same result. Guess I'll have to send this in for an RMA. :-(
