Webpage

I have a newbie question say I have a directory named Files on my DNS how would I link it to my page? I have tried dns323-ip:8080/mnt/HD_a2/Files/; dns323-ip:8080/Files/ and no avail.

Re: Webpage

If you have replaced /mnt/HD_a2/www with /mnt/HD_a2/Files in the lighttpd conf then you would only need to navigate you browser to dns-323ip:8080/ if you have not changed the conf file, then the location will be /mnt/HD_a2/www , you can add a subdirectory of 'Files' (/mnt/HD_a2/www/Files) and then access it from dns-323ip:8080/Files. remember that if you configure your port forwarding on your router, you can map incomming port 80 to internal port 8080. once that is done the port number is not needed, and you can use a dynamic dns service like dyndns.org to get a domain name for free.
