I have tried to compile mc myself but it need the lib glib2 which also have dependencies blahblah....
So I tried to compile these libs but without success
Hope someone more skilled in cross-compile will help 
Or maybe someone knows an other mc-like command line file manager that I'll try to comp

You could use the generic arm libraries from the debian repository, like http://packages.debian.org/etch/libglib2.0-0

MC Mp should compile with some minor modifications, take a look to my post http://dns323.kood.org/forum/t823-Midni … ander.html.
My binaries are optimized for arm926, so i don't know if they'll work on your box.
Maybe the one that naffarin suggests is the best option, i have downloaded a compiled arm glibc too but then i found and compiled MC Mp, so i've never tried that approach.
I'll give it a look soon.
