After changing fw to 1.04 got next message:
HARD DRIVE CONFIGURATION:
The hard drives have been installed incorrectly. Please power off and swap hard drive locations.
Swaping hard drives don't help.

Hello,
It does look like 1.04's 'real time monitoring of drives' is not working in your case. I would recommend reverting back to 1.03 till we see post 1.04 updates addressing such issues.

i revert back to 1.03 and it offer to reformat my drives. i don't want to do so.
is it any files/signatures/id on hdd which tell to DNS-323 where is drive from
left/right bay?

Hmm... I was quite sure that if the drives were in the original state before you upgraded to 1.04, then the same drives would be accepted by DNS-323 on reverting to 1.03. What configuration are you running? Raid 1 or 0?
Perhaps someone who knows better can help provide instructions for configuring dives through telnet interface.
