Hi. I'm planning to add a serial port to the DNS-323, and I've looked through the instructions at http://dns323.kood.org/hardware:serial, but i need a bit of clarification. Has any of you attempted to attach a serial port to the DNS-323? The images on the wiki page are hard to see and cannot be enlarged. Also, the instructions are clear, but not 100% clear. Look at my page at http://dawrightway.tripod.com/futurlec_layout.html and see if my interpretation of the wiring on the Futurlec board is correct. Thanks!

Yes I would appreciate some higher resolution pictures too. It looks like the board in the picture is A1 and B1 board has a slightly different layout. High resolution pictures from anyone who added a serial port to B1 hardware would be most appreciated.
Kind regards

Not 100% sure from your diagram, but I think you'll need a crossover between the futurelec board and the serial port - i.e. Tx to pin 2 and Rx to pin 3. I have a working serial port on a B1 board, and the pins on the DNS-323 are in exactly the same order as the A1, as detailed in the serial howto. See here for how I ended up wiring mine up.
I would post pictures, but I'm "between" digital cameras at the moment!
