Hi folks,
I'm new to this, and have just started playing with a G600b.
I've got busybox, telnet, and ssh on my G600, but I have a question about how much free memory is really available.
When I run the busybox free command I get...
# free total used free shared buffers Mem: 30308 24008 6300 0 3264 Swap: 530104 0 530104 Total: 560412 24008 536404
So, my question is, I thought that the G600 had 64Mb of memory. Yet, the free command suggests that I have a total of 30308 -- 30308 what? Mb?
Is that ~30 that are available under the busybox enviroment? Is there more actual memory available that busybox doesn't seem to be able to get its hands on?
If anyone can give me some pointers to better understand memory usage on the G600, and if/how it is impacted by busybox, it would help me understand how much headroom I have on this box to do other work. Part of my desire to get the G600 over an NSLU2 was that the G600 had 64Mb of memory.
Gavin.

PowerPC based revB has 32mb of memory and Intel xscale based revA has 64mb of memory. You have a PowerPC based device.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Oh well, and here I was thinking that getting the Rev B was better.
Maybe it is in some ways, but 32Mb of memory is a bit of a let down.
