DSM-G600, DNS-3xx and NSA-220 Hack Forum

Hi folks,

I got my DNS-323 a week ago and think it's mostly great. Two problem with it though

i) I'm ripping my CD's using ALAC and dumping the files onto the NAS drive in a specific folder. That folder is then configured as the iTunes music server folder. It all works great, but now I've got 20 CD's worth, the refresh option takes like 1/2 an hour to complete. I know the lossless files are big but isn't it just scanning the headers, it should still be quick. Would Firefly solve this one?

ii) printing is a bit iffy. I thought it didn't work at all but discovered if you wait a few minutes it does actually print. This is a OSX Leopard machine connecting via a smb://192.168.0.xxx:139/lp URL. Should printing be instant if it's working properly?
