NFS on CH3SNAS

Although I tried everything I read so far, I still do not get NFS V3 to work im my CH3SNAS. Is there anybody out there who knows how I can get it going in NFS v3 mode. V2 is working without problems....Thanks a lot.

P.S. It would also help, if smbd. could explain how to start UNFS3 using Fun_plug5......

Re: NFS on CH3SNAS

Hi,

same problem here. Tried everything and NFSv3 won't work at all. (See 1.03 Final Topic) But I noticed that Conceptronic deleted 1.03 final and put up the old 1.03beta6A again. Maybe there were some problems?
I sent a mail to Conceptronic concerning this problem this evening, but oviously haven't recieved an answer, yet.

€dit: unfsd3 is extremely slow in real world situations (Videostreaming...), I would prefer to use NFSv2 instead.
Greetz,
Markus

See here, problems not related to NFSv3: http://www.aroundmyroom.com/2008/03/07/ … re-update/

Important info: 1.03Final can cause files to become corrupted when copying data with an alternative copy tool, like: Total Commander and/or TeraCopy etc. This has been reported by several users and I could finally reproduce it today.

Therefore please use 1.03b6a again to be sure your copied data will not be corrupted!

The only thing Conceptronic has done is to enable the NFSv3 option like the NFSv2, so the kernel can support it, but it's not working out of the box, you need tool(s) like Fonz made.
Such features are not supported nor will be the reason to revoke a firmware release.

The reason to revoke the final version is that during copy files getting bigger than they should be and get corrupted. MP3's loose their ID3TAG, TIF files cannot be opened anymore etc..  all kinds of wierd stuff happen :-(

Where do you see the 1.04?, I can't find it in ArdoundMyRoom blog or in conceptronic website / ftp.

I knew that only kernel support was added. Anyway, I compiled nfs-utils (--disable-nfsv4 --enable-nfsv3 --disable-gss) with NFSv3 myself and it din't work. Any suggestions?

it's fixed now in the 1.04a1 release from my website.
My engineers told they enabled but didn't. It's fixed now in the 1.04a1 release
so NFSv3 and NFSv2 are working now

tjsak!
