logging in without password on a dns 323

Hi,

this is my first post! wink

I am trying to use the dns 323 as a remote backup holder. Now i'm stuck... I am trying to ssh- rsync over the internet, for that to succeed i need to be able to login without a password. Otherwise i need to put the password in a script (yuk!@) The box i am trying to connect to is a freenas server, and it uses dsa authentication, which dropbear AFAIK doesn't support????

any tips or quetsions are welcome.....

Dropbear supports key authentification. This Howto is worth reading: http://wiki.openwrt.org/DropbearPublicK … ationHowto

Try checking BackupNetClone (http://backupnetclone.sourceforge.net/), which uses rsync over SSH.  If it's not exactly what you need, at least the installation instructions might give you some hints as to how to get dropbear working.

Edit: Oh, I guess fonz beat me to the suggestion by the time I posted my comment...
