Silly problem. Same IP on DNS323 and external IF of router.

I tought I might tell you of my problems so that if anyone else is as stupid as I they can find the solution here.

I've got a Linksys WRT54GL router. But I'am not using it for routing, it's just acting as a switch and LAN <-> WLAN bridge. Never-the-less the configuration of the Linksys needs an IP to be set on the external (WAN) port, so i just picked my next free adress and forgot about it.

Later i assigned the very same IP to my DNS 323. And everything worked fine acctually. But when doing large file transfers they where always interrupted after 12 minutes or so with an annoying error message saying that the shared unit is now unavailable.

I noticed the problem when both the DNS323 and laptop was connected to the WRG54GL and i typed in the IP to the DNS323 to browse to it's webinterface and ended up with the WRT54GL's webinterface instead.
THEN I started to realize what was going on...

A little hint in case of problems!

WFR: Mikael
