Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hello. Relatively new here.
I'm working on a friend's 323. It was running OOTB 1.01 FW. About 3 weeks ago, I flashed it to 1.04 and reformatted the two drives as RAID1.
Today I notice that the right drive light is amber and status page reports:
HARD DRIVE INFO :
Total Drive(s): 2
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Volume Name: Volume_1
Volume Type: RAID 1
Sync Time Remaining: Degraded
Total Hard Drive Capacity: 490402 MB
Used Space: 122084 MB
Unused Space: 368317 MB
Is there a way to get some more detailed status out of this thing? What's the troubleshooting steps to take here?
Thanks

What is happening there is that the unit thinks the right drive has failed - next step is to replace the drive with a new one - if you don't have the data backed up, I'd suggest you do that before you replace the drive - just as a precaution.
Notice I said the unit thinks the right drive has failed - well - it has been known to be wrong, but the only way to be sure is to pull the suspect drive and test it outside of the box, once you're confident that it is usable, you can reinstall it, but I would make sure that it had no partitions on it before I reinstalled it - again - just as a precaution.

Thanks. Guess we'll order a spare. Is there any way to get more detailed info out of the unit? Also, how does one establish what hardware version one is at? I haven't even looked at the label or S/N yet.

Hardware version is on the label on the underside - it may be possible to get more information out of the unit if you have fun_plug loaded and are familiar with linux and mdadm, but not through the web interface.
