I'm thinking of buying one of these toasters... I keep reading good things about them.
I have an old machine that I built into a FreeNAS box (freenas.org) and it has 2 eide drives in it (one is 250 gigs).
Could I recycle my 250 gig drive by wiping it, inserting it into an external USB enclosure, and then connect it to the DNS-323 (using a powered hub, along with my HP officejet 2410 printer)?
I believe I've read that it's possible to connect USB drives after using that fun_plug thing, whatever that is...

Yes - you can connect an external hard drive in a USB enclosure, and mount it using fun_plug - I'm not certain about using it along with a printer though.
