Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I upgraded my CH3SNAS from 1.02 to 1.03 without problems, fun_plug 0.4 still working.
Linux NAS 2.6.12.6-arm1 #29 Thu Mar 6 10:35:27 CST 2008 armv5tejl unknown
Samba version is 3.0.24
The scandisk feature on the web interface is buggy, at least doesn't detect my 500Gb samsung disks.

Why do you want to use scandisk?!

Because my dmesg shows these errors, due to unclean shutdown:
ext3: No journal on filesystem on sda4 EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended ext3: No journal on filesystem on sdb4 EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended ext3: No journal on filesystem on sda2 EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended ext3: No journal on filesystem on sdb2 EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended raid1: raid set md0 active with 2 out of 2 mirrors EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended ext3: No journal on filesystem on sda4 ext3: No journal on filesystem on sdb4
And wanted to see if the 'scandisk' was able to fix it... however, I can fix it using skydreamer's disk maintenance script, but as soon as I reboot using fun_plug 0.4 and run dropbear from the mounted disk I can't properly shutdown the unit and I get the errors again.
BTW, a strings on the scandisk binary reveals what it does is a '/usr/bin/e2fsck -p -f -C 0'.

Did it properly unmount the volume before it did the "scandisk"? I.e did you loose network connection to the volume? I never reboot from inside fun_plug but instead do it via the web pages.

I don't loose network connection to the volume, but as soon as you start any services from fun_plug, the disk is never properly umounted again (because the service is still running when you shutdown or reboot the device). You have to stop the services and reboot / shutdown the unit manually via telnet. AFAIK this is a know fun_plug issue, and I haven't seen any nice workaround for this in the forum yet.

Hi,
it seems to me that NFSv3 is not working. I have the latest 0.5 portmap und nfs-utils installed, but still I only get the following output from my client:
easyVDR:~# rpcinfo -p 192.168.100.4 Program Vers Proto Port 100000 2 tcp 111 portmapper 100003 2 udp 2049 nfs 100003 2 tcp 2049 nfs 100021 1 udp 1026 nlockmgr 100021 3 udp 1026 nlockmgr 100021 4 udp 1026 nlockmgr 100021 1 tcp 1026 nlockmgr 100021 3 tcp 1026 nlockmgr 100021 4 tcp 1026 nlockmgr 100024 1 udp 1029 status 100024 1 tcp 1028 status 100005 1 udp 1030 mountd 100005 1 tcp 1029 mountd 100005 2 udp 1030 mountd 100005 2 tcp 1029 mountd 100005 3 udp 1030 mountd 100005 3 tcp 1029 mountd
Can somebody help me solving this problem? Fonz told me that his nfs-utils and portmap support NFSv3...

I can confirm that is working correctly with ffp0.4 (tnx to conceptronic).
delek, have you installed portmap too?
Offline
I have installed the latest portmap, but I can only get NFSv2 to work. I'm going to try ffp0.4 later.
€dit: Just tried it out, with ffp0.4 there is also only NFSv2 available.

Pof,
did you find a way to get rid of the fs warning messages?

nfs v3 was indeed NOT supported although it was written otherwise.
Today there will be a 1.04a1 release ((watch www.aroundmyroom.com around 17.00h ) This version is not heavily supported but comments can be made)
the 1.04a1 has the NFS v3 kernel module feature enabled during compiling of the firmware so that it should work with Fonz' tools.
if some can / will verify this for me .
thanks
zeroday!

Hello,
I updatet from CH3SNS 1.03 beta 6 to the fw 1.03 final. I reboot. I log me in the CH3SNAS-admin an it´s works fine. It show me my IP 192.168.x.x. After the CH3SNAS reboot i don´t have a telnet-connection under my IP. I reset the CH3SNAS on the back site with hold the switch 10 sec. Fun_plug 0.5 dont work, too.
I downgrade to fw 1.03b6a and all things runs beautifull! Telnet and fun_plug 0.5 does works very fine
Sorry can me help anywhere?
Thanks and best regards
Jimi Bondi.

Is there a HOW TO to on how to load this firmware?
Thank You!

After upgrading to 1.04a1, telnetd included with funplug0.5 doesn't start anymore, version 1.03 official of the firmware is affected too.
Did anyone upgrade successfully(with working telnetd) the ch3?
And Delekhan, which version of the funplug are you using?
At the moment i don't have time to investigate this issue, if anyone is interested, here is the log of funplug0.5:
* /ffp/start/adjtimex.sh inactive
* /ffp/start/sysinit.sh ...
mknod: can't resolve symbol '__cxa_atexit'
mknod: can't resolve symbol '__cxa_atexit'
mkdir: can't resolve symbol '__cxa_atexit'
mount: mounting devpts on /dev/pts failed: No such file or directory
chmod: can't resolve symbol '__cxa_atexit'
* /ffp/start/syslogd.sh inactive
.......
* /ffp/start/telnetd.sh ...
basename: can't resolve symbol '__cxa_atexit'
tr: can't resolve symbol '__cxa_atexit'
basename: can't resolve symbol '__cxa_atexit'
Starting /ffp/sbin/telnetd
* /ffp/start/rsyncd.sh inactive
After a *brief* look, looks like that the kernel of these releases (1.03off and 1.04a1) are compiled without --enable-__cxa_atexit, and the binaries of the ffp compiled with this option simply can't find this symbol.
So, there are only two obvious options to solve this issue...
