LED color meanings

Hi all.

I haven't been able to find a comprehensive list of what the different LED colors mean. I think it would be useful if a list of known status' (statii?!) could be held in a single place. The manual that I have onl;y refers to:
Blue = good
Amber = degraded disk

However, I have seen pink, which considering what was happening, I take to mean synchronizing. I have also seen other users refer to pink LEDs only to be told that they must mean amber. Well, mine were most definitely pink.

I have also seen reference to white LEDs.

Can anyone shed any light on these undocumented colors?

(Note: being English, it really pains me to spell colour without the "u", but I realise that there are possibly more people using the alternative spelling, so would make it easier to search for big_smile )

Stay frosty.
Mike

Re: LED color meanings

In this case "pink" & "white" are actually the same thing and are caused by the LEDs for blue & amber being activated simultaneously - for now I would consider it to be an undefined state or an error indication - the only two defined states are blue=good and amber=problem of some sort - D-Link says it represents a failed drive.
