Simple questions about upgrading
Hey,
i have a few simple questions about upgrading my firmware from 1.03 to 1.04.
I'm currently running a RAID1 setup (2x500gb).
I want to assure that no information is erased, can I simply take out one of the drives, perform the upgrade and then put it in again?

If you're running fw 1.03, you should be able to upgrade with no drives in the box - but - D-Link suggests reformatting the drives after that upgrade (strictly speaking it does not appear to be necessary - something to do with a unicode fix) so do you really want to skip that step?
Also 
I recognize that restoring 500GB of data takes time - but - if you don't have it backed up, think how much longer it would take to recreate.
