Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hey all,
Firstly wanted to see thanks to all the guys contributing to the forum/wiki, big thanks to Fonz for the funky fun_plug!
Personally I have fairly basic Linux experience, but been having fun/stress with the box and managed to get a few apps such as NFS, Lighttpd_php, FireFly, Transmission/Clutch and my printer Samsung ML2010 (straight out the box) working. Hadn't got round to the likes of SSH, SFTP or USB disk support setup yet.
My issue is now I want to replace my old disk and replace it with a new 500Gb Samsung SpinPoint SATA2 (gonna keep this in standard disk config for now).
I have looked around the forum and cannot find a straight solution on how best to do this. Once I have formatted the new disk (found good instructions for this!) what should I do? Use Rsync, cp, USB disk, Windows/Samba? What about Chumby's howto on copying everything from Disk A to B? What about dir/file permissions, etc.?
Another question, would this also be a good time to upgrade to ffp 0.5?
Some many questions I know! Many thanks in advance for help.
Thanks,
Lee

Ok, so went it alone.....
Decided to format the new drive (in RH bay / LH bay empty), have also installed ffp0.5 on it. Then put back in the original 200Gb drive in LH bay and used a simple cp- a command to copy across all of my data from old to new drive. Seems to be running fine. Maybe I was making this more complicated in my head than it needed to be?
Think I will now use the old 200Gb drive as a temporary backup drive using an Rsync/cron job.
