Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I upgraded the firmware from 1.03 to 1.04 one week ago.
I got into some pink/amber light problem which most people found after upgrade. The status page shows "degarded". I thought the harddrive is dead, but they're brand new. (Seagate 7200.11). So I reformat the HD, it went back to normal. Now, I found the square dlink LED will not dim, it stay on all the time. Previously, it will dim down after it went idle for a while.
I want to know whether this is a problem for anyone also.

The DLink LED staying on means the disks have not "spun down" or gone into power save mode. There are several possible reasons for this - ranging from a PC constantly accessing a drive to one of the DNS-323's internal processes accessing the drive.
You can find out if it's internal or external by disconnecting the network cable and leaving it long enough for the unit to go to power save mode.
If it's any consolation, mine does it from time to time and I have given up trying to find out why.
