Disk Full Error on Samba Share

Hi all,

I am currently experiencing the following problem with my
CH3SNAS FW 1.03:

When transferring files to a samba-share from my windows xp
machine, I get disk full errors after a random(?) number of bytes
have been transferred. File transfer works fine when using ftp
with the same user credentials.

Has anyone else seen this problem before ?

Regards,

Matthias.

Re: Disk Full Error on Samba Share

It might be an idea to provide details on which client OS you are using and a rough idea of the number of bytes - there used to be a similar (but not identical) complaint with the early (1.02) firmware versions on the DNS-323 when used with W2K3 and I believe Vista

Re: Disk Full Error on Samba Share

Hi,

as far as the client OS is concerned, I provided that information. I am
using windows xp SP 2 with all available patches installed. SP3 does not
work on my machine at the moment since it is causing endless reboots.

I don't really see a pattern regarding the number of bytes after which the disk full
message pops up. Yesterday I ended up with a directory full of zero length
mp3 files when trying to rip a cd using audiograbber. Ripping to a local directory
and transferring the mp3s via ftp worked.

Matthias.
