Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Having sorted through all the information on this site, I find that there's a big section lacking in the wikis: tutorials. There are lots of links to tutorials, but:
1) it would be nice to have an catalog of all the things you can do with the DNS-323
2) it would be nice to consolidate the instructions locally instead of leaving links to external blogs, which can become 404, or threads which become really long to read. Good information, but sometimes I just want to get up and running quickly.
I found that I needed to search through lots of thread to finally get to a place where I can:
* Backup nightly/Incrementally
* Move ffp to USB
* Turn off the fan
* Run bittorrent service (mldonkey)
* Run LightTPD with PHP and MySQL service
Then there are some things I did which are not or were not in any threads or tutorials:
* Run services as nobody
It would be nice to have all the instructions in wikis that people can modify as they find things that don't work or are outdated in new versions of fun_plug, etc. so that at a glance, people can find the latest instructions.
What do you think?

Of course, everybody would like it.
The backup threads are already collected here for 0.3/0.4: http://dns323.kood.org/howto:ffp#help_h … iscussions
For 0.5, a number of helpful threads are listed here: http://dns323.kood.org/howto:ffp#help_h … scussions1
Feel free to add whatever you find interesting. And you're of course welcome to write down new tutorials.
