Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I've had this problem for a few days now - EasySearch (2.2 and 3.0) can't find the DNS-323 even though it's right there on the network and I can use telnet, ping and samba with it. What's going on you think?

Have you tried to shut down any software firewall on the machine you run EasySearch from? At least for me it wasn't enough to allow EasySearch access to the network in SPF Pro

Yup, I've tried that. No change...
About my setup, the 323 is private and wired directly to the laptop as an external harddrive. The 'puter has another network card (the wireless one) with a completely different address through which I connect to the house network and the internet. Everything works perfectly except the EasySearch thing.

Hi, secretagent.
Did you ever get EasySearch to find your 323 again? I recently updated the firmware to 1.02, but after a reformat of the harddrives and importing the settings (which I had saved locally), I can't get to the 323 at all.
It had fixed IP, which it seems to have abandoned. Hence I can't get contact with it unless I use easy search. As you described in another post, it flashes for a second when I click refresh in the ewasy search window.
Have tried with easysearcg 3.0.0.0 and 3.4.0.0 with the same fruitless results...
Update:
Never mind. I just hard-reset the 323 an configured it from the start again. Most likely it was the settings-file (CfgBackup) which messed things up.
