Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

while reading my dns323 config file "CfgBackup" (extracted from the web interface) i saw there was a lot of wireless settings, like:
CF-WL-WIRELESS = "0"
CF-WL-COMM-MODE = "2"
CF-WL-SSID = ""
CF-WL-CHANNEL = "0"
i guess it's dlinks way to make the firmware config uniform with the wirelessly equipped cusin dsmg600.
the dns323 is already on my wireless network, using a ethernet to wireless bridge (11n apple airport express) however, i want to explore other ways to get the dns323 on the wireless network.
i tested inserting a wireless usb adapter, the dwlg122 revC from dlink. the link led on the adapter flash in a 5s intervall and the activity led is off all the time, as the device would act if connected to a PC, but not configured yet or just disconnected from the acces point/router.
from the web interface, printer info states:
Manufacturer: Ralink
Product: 802.11 bg WLAN
for those who don't know this, ralink is the chip manufactorer for this wireless adaptor dlink sells as dwlg122, so the nas successfully identified the device. i think its references as RT2500USB on ralinks driver page.
http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/S … Linux.html
should i edit the config file wireless parts with SSID, channel etc. and load it back with the web interface? i havent tried it yet but i don't think it will be enough as the dns323 don't have a ralink driver buit in. can i install the driver using the fun_plug exploit?
has anyone tried this? please advise!

i did search the internet and this forum before posting. i bet other ppl have been thinking about this setup.
if there's no advise i'll just keep my current setup as it's working pretty good. the dns323 is hooked up to my WLAN using an ethernet to wireless-N bridge, fw 105 running BT with decent speeds (up to 200 Kb/s)

You should feel free to write the module to make it work, but I don't think too many people here will be that interested in it as wireless is dirt slow compared to Gbit ethernet. Besides, like you are already using, an ethernet client device works just fine and cost is probably comparable. A D-Link pocket router (DWL-G730AP) works great as a client and can even be powered from the USB port. It goes in the US for under $50.
