You only need mysql, php and lighttpd with the correct mod_rewrite-rules. But: Wordpress needs a lot of resources, i wouldn't run that on the NAS.

because there is no reason why it would run faster on sqllite. mysql performances well with small memory and slow cpu (if configured approciate). in some cases even better then sqllite.

Great! I had Wordpress running with MySQL albeit very slowly. What kind of configurations do you recommend??

Up to now, there is a small group of people playing around with PDO drivers for SQLite installations but it's really fussy and I'm just a beginner in all this.
