BSOD from IRP Stack - Blame Samba?

Hi,

I've started to have a problem between my WinXP box and my DNS-323.  Each time I try to rename a file folder on the d-link, WinXP gives me a BSOD with the message "No More IRP Stack Locations."  This has now started to happen every time I try to rename a folder, but only from WinXP.  If I use my Vista computer to make the change, there's no problem.

I was initially seeing this problem with Firmware 1.04, and still see it in 1.05.

I've tried to increase my IRP Stack Size, but this makes no difference.  Based on this discussion, it sounds like Samba 3.0.24 may be to blame.  So, my question to all:

1) Has anyone else seen and/or solved this problem?

2) Is it possible to upgrade the version of Samba running on the DNS-323?

Thanks!

Re: BSOD from IRP Stack - Blame Samba?

Well, posting the question must have prompted me to find an answer myself.  After a bit more searching, it looks like this hotfix from Microsoft does the trick.

I'm still curious about being able to upgrade Samba.
