I'm new to the DNS-323. Just picked one up, installed a 500Gb drive, and upgraded to firmware revision 1.05. I am very disappointed with the torrent download client included with revision 1.05 (big shock). I'm unfamiliar with the linux based clients that some of you are using. Can anyone tell me if MLDonkey, rTorrent, or other have selective / specific file download? For example, the torrent includes 10 files, but you only want to download 2 files. This feature is common to Windows based clients like uTorrent, but I can't seem to find any mention of it for the linux based clients.
Thanks in advance.

Okay... Allow me to rephrase that. For those of you that have experience with MLDonkey (since that seems to be the crowd favorite), does it have selective / specific file download? I'm guessing no.. since nobody has chimed in.

One last desperate bump.

As far as I have seen it, MLDonkey does not offer such a feature on its web interface.
Maybe there is a possibility to achieve this via its telnet interface: Open a ssh or telnet session to your DNS, then type "telnet localhost:4000" and you'll get the console of MLDonkey. Type in "longhelp" and search for useful hints (set the line buffer of your terminal program to 500 in advance - it is really a LONG help).
As a last chance, you can try to contact ShadowAndy - he cross compiled MLDonkey for the DNS. You'll find his blog googling for it.

Bernhard

Or ask in the mldonkey forums themselves, after all this is a dns-323 forum.
