I have my dns323 setup as a ftp server and it is working fine using a ftp client, but i was wondering if i could just access the dns 323 ftp through a web browser instead of making everyone i give access to download and install a ftp client? is this possible? if so, how do i accomplish this?
Also, i have my ftp setup on port 21 and have my firewall open on that port. Is this safe? Are there any issues that i need to look out for? i have users and passwords setup for all the ftp users, but can a hacker gain access to my dns 323? thank you.

If you have F/W 1.05 you can use the web.

It's just as easy - and given the http related security issues of the DNS-323 with 1.05, probably more secure, especially since he wants to allow external access to the files to use either the web browser - ftp://etc.... - see here for syntax or the CLI ftp client that is already there.

ok, i have a video posted on my ftp (dns323) and i put the path in like the link told me to do:
(example below, not my actual info)
ftp://username:password@111.111.111.111:21/Volume_1/FTP/Dewmanshu/videos/Capitol-Raceway_2008-06-01.wmv
This seems to work and begins to open windows media player, but then i get an error that states,

ftp is a file transfer protocol - meant for transfering files from system_a to system_b, I believe what you'tr trying to do is called streaming media in this case a video, it won't work.
