hey....can the PS3 detect the dns-323 via UPnP AV enabled?
i mean streaming media from the dns-323 to the PS3...FYI,no linux distro is installed on the PS3, i mean just by using xmb...

It works fine for me via xmb. It sees it as DNS-323

I've had my DNS323 working with my PS3 for some time (no mods to the DNS) when I first set it up it worked great.
Then at some point (after some FW update to the 323 or the PS3), my PS3 failed to read the ID TAG info for my files.
All of the tag info just shows a "-", the only thig that is correct is the file name.
Anyone else have problem with the tags?
If there are no issue with media tomb, can someone post (or has it already) a step-by-step to set it up with the PS3.
Regards.

Most files play fine, a few of them (MP3s) would stop about 1/2 through, them not let me play them. They all do work fine through windows though.
I have the latest FW on both the PS3 (2.36) and the DNS323 (1.05).
No one else having this issue? Like I said, no mp3 tag info at all is being passed to the PS3.
Maybe re-install the FW on the 323?
cheers

Some people have reported that the PS3 has some issues running DLNA stuff from the DNS-323 over the wireless connection, but worked fine over a regular LAN connection.

I'm running wireless to the PS3 from my DLink DIR-655 gigabit router. It sees it but I can't see any files on it at all. I read some other threads about running wired vs wireless but I don't want to go that route if I can help it.More cable to run.... it should just work IMHO if I can see it from the PS3.
