Help! My DNS-323 woke up very confused this morning

I'm using Firmware v1.05 in RAID1 configuration.

Things worked fine for awhile. Then this morning I noticed I couldn't mount the filesystems... Went into the web admin and saw the DNS-323 was asking "how I want my drives formatted?" as if they were brand-new.

Any ideas how to recover from this?

I immediately removed one of the drives and will try to mount it on my Linux box. Are these ext2 or ext3 fs? Anything I need to beware of?

Thanks!

Reboot the unit, or do the button reset on the back.

It's most likely ext2. And you can always mount ext3 file systems as ext2.

atramos.

Did you have any luck?  I experience a similar issue as yours ... actually it sounds almost identical.  I am still working at trying to get my data back.  Check out my post here:
