Howto format hard drive
This might be a stupid question but how do i format a harddive thats allrady in place in the dns-323 ?

You can use the web GUI, select TOOLS -> RAID and click the "set RAID type and reformat" button
This will pop us a new window where you can select the hard drive setup type
You can use the D-Link DNS-323 emulator http://support.dlink.com/emulators/dns323/login.htm to
walk through the process.
As a precaution I would recommend you backup any data you want to keep before
attempting to reformat the drive.
