Hi all,
I believe my Etch installation is "done", but I've run into a couple of problems.
1. When chroot'ed into the Etch I cannot install Samba for some reason. Do I need to have it properly up and running before I can install it?
2. When trying to run the linuxrc from http://dns323.kood.org/howto:chroot_debian:linuxrc, I get the following:
/mnt/HD_a2 # chroot /mnt/HD_a2/etch /bin/sh -l
root@Filserver:/# ./linuxrc
Starting system log daemon: syslogdstart-stop-daemon: nothing in /proc - not mounted? (Success)

Thanks for any help!
P.S. My main usage for this box is to get Linux on it, then Samba, and then set up samba to work with the domain. If that doesn't work, the DNS is pretty much useless...

I am having the same issue. Have you fixed this?
