FTP not working across NATs

Which is the best way to access the DNS-323 externally besides FTP? Any secure ways?

http ? smile not really secure unless you hide the stuff you want to access in odd named directorys, but i usally keep stuff i want to access from work in secret dirs in http root dir

Trying to connect to DNS-323 from work.. this is what I get.. I can't see any files or directories.. Can someone verify my problem from the text below?
