web interface / access

hi there,

after sorting out the hassle of firmware upgrade from 1.03 to 1.04 with a raid1 with the much appreciated help of this forum iīm experiencing now a strange behaviour of the web interface.

i can access the web interface without any problems. after logging off and trying to reaccess ff3 tells me the website is there but not responding. waiting for a minute or so resolves the problem since the login screen appears. i never had that with fw 1.03. i could login and logout within seconds.
same story with the ie.

during the time i canīt login the dns drives are accessible and everything else (mt-daapd, telnet, etc.) works normal.

i did some up- and downgrades between 1.04 and 1.05 since the inital upgrade from 1.03 to 1.05 failed (94 % issue).
there is ffp 0.5 installed and as said it is raid1 with two samsung 500 gb drives. status of everything in the web interface is as expected.

any suggestions ? any logs that are of interest ?

anybody knows since when this goahead webserver logo is displayed (was it coming with the 1.04 firmware) ?
couldnīt find anything in the release notes.

iīm still fearing a bit to upgrade now to firmware 1.05.........

thanks in advance.

Re: web interface / access

Wierd, I am running 1.04 and 1.05 with ffp 0.5 and never had any issues like this.  Are you accessing the web interface via IP address, or share name?  It is best to use the IP address.

DNS-323     F/W: 1.04b84  H/W: A1  ffp: 0.5  Drives: 2X 400 GB Seagate SATA-300
DNS-323     F/W: 1.05b28  H/W: B1  ffp: 0.5  Drives: 2X 1 TB  WD SATA-300
DSM-G600   F/W: 1.02       H/W: B                Drive:  500 GB WD ATA

Re: web interface / access

weired....thatīs what i think as well...

iīm running it by ip address and this behaviour never happened before (with the fw 1.03 and prior releases) but is constantly reproducable from any other machine running XP, Vista or OS X.

all other statistics look normal and the device behaves absolutely normal.
