Mythbuntu on DNS-323?

I'm fairly new to both the DNS-323 and Linux, and am currently running Ubuntu 8.04, which as I understand is a derivative of Debian.  I ran across a distro called Mythbuntu, which is a frontend and/or backend for running MythTV.  My thinking is to put the Mythbuntu backend on the NAS and use it as a centralized "media center."

My question is this, can anyone think of a reason this wouldn't work?  Google searches have turned up nothing, so it's either impossible or nobody has tried it (or I suck at Google).  Since Debian apparently will work, I have hope that Mythbuntu might as well.  Am I way off?

Re: Mythbuntu on DNS-323?

Since the DNS-323 is way below the stated Minimum System Requirements and has no TV Tuner Card, Sound Card, Video Card or any other media related input/output, i don't get it... Why do you want to run something like Mythbuntu on it?

Re: Mythbuntu on DNS-323?

Well, the idea was to keep my digital media on the 323 and have it running the backend, and then the different computers in my house could have the mythbuntu frontend.  This would theoretically allow me to have a low-power home theater pc under my TV that wouldn't need much of a hard drive (if any).  For the moment, I don't need any recording capabilities (I don't have cable or an antenna).  It was my impression that the "required specs" were for recording, not just running the program.  Definitely could be wrong there though.

Good question.  Is there anybody out there currently running Debian who can  try this?
