Log in as root? Permissions question.

Good day.

I'm getting the hang of this unix language, bwhahaa.  Is there a way to set all my folders with permission to default as root (read/write), and log in to an smb share as root?

My problem is this.  I have setup a user (username) *via webpage, and log in via SMB on OS X.  I log in with my username/pword, and can access my files/folders as expected.  Occasionally though, i make a new folder (via finder in OS X), and then i cannot access it (permissions).  I telnet into my machine and chmod and chgrp the folders to what i require.

I setup transmission/clutch, and it will only allow me to download files into my DNS if the folders are set to 'nobody'.  So to delete/move files, i have to do this via telnet.

Is there a way i can make it so i can do everything without telnet, i am assuming i need to log in as admin, and wont have any issues...

Can anyone provide suggestions?  If i am not clear enough, please let me know!

Thanks in advance.
