I installed BitTorrent using Easy Search so now in my Volume_1 (root) I have 2 additional folders:
- BT (download and torrent directory)
- Nas_Prog (actual BT Program)
I now have a couple questions:
1) I had my root folder structure the way I liked it and would prefer not to have these folders there. Is there any way to change/remove the default folders without removing the BitTorrent functionality?
2) The permissions to the BT folder show everyone has access and these permissions are not editable. Is there a way to change permissions so only my username/password has access to this folder.
3) I've noticed there are other torrent versions you all seem to suggest. How do you install these? does it use the same folder structure? are there any with some better security?
I also have a couple general DNS 323 questions, these are:
1) Is there a way to use windows passthrough authentication instead of what you assign in the web config tool? I tried giving it the same username/password as I have in windows (vista) but that didn't appear to work.
2) I've read through some of the more technical posts and don't understand the process of how you guys are tweaking your NAS. Is there a good beginners guide on here somewhere. Where do I start? Funplug, telnet... etc...

2) Probably the best way to start off is to download fonz's fun_plug and putty. Those will give you telnet access, as well as a variety of programs that are available. That is really the best stepping stone. From there, just check out the wiki and experiment.
