'Green' disks in raid 5 array

Hoy hoy,

About to buy a 343 and buy 4 x 750gb Western Digital 'Green' SATA2 (WD7500AACS) disks.

Was planning on a raid 5 array, but I was wondering if anyone knows if the raid array and the 'green' features are compatible? I don't want the disks going to sleep on me or slowing down at critical moments destroying my array. Any experience with green disks in an array would be great, thanks!

Re: 'Green' disks in raid 5 array

I was running two WD10EACS for months in RAID1 24/7, with long periods of not being accessed, the hdds in standby (at night, etc.)
The RAID array never disintegrated.
