Hi!

Has anyone got the hdparm working. Im getting:

/dev/sda:
HDIO_GET_IDENTITY failed: Invalid argument

Is my drive not compatible or??

What do you want to do with hdparm, in other words what switches do you use.

I would like to set the -S spindown timeout (standby) for my drive

This function is probably not supported by DSM-G600 ide controller or your hard disk. You can also try sdparm from download section.

I tried sdparm but it dont have the spindown timeout option. :-(
