DNS323 IPv6 Support?

I see that someone has successfully added IPv6 support to a DNS-313 by modifying the kernel:

http://dns323.kood.org/forum/t2470-IPv6 … S-313.html

Is anyone pursuing similar efforts with the DNS323?  IPv6 is a great way to restore end-to-end connectivity without the hassle of NAT redirection.   Unfortunately I imagine the stock services on the DNS323 are not IPv6 aware, so a new kernel alone won't do much.  Does anyone know if Fonz' funplug supports IPv6, or would that also require a rebuild?

That would require a rebuild.

IPv6 doesn't prevent use of firewalls or other security measures to control access.

Thanks for the response Fonz.  To prevent bricking my main NAS I'll have to get a second before mucking with the kernel and userspace.
